The Vigabatrin REMS Program is needed by the FDA to make sure informed risk-benefit choices prior to starting treatment, and to make sure proper use vigabatrin while people are treated. When vision loss will take place, it is not possible for your health care supplier to know.
It is suggested that your healthcare provider examination your (or your youngster's) vision before or within 4 weeks after starting SABRIL and at the very least every 3 months throughout treatment till SABRIL is stopped. If you or your child have any side impact that troubles you or that does not go away, inform your medical care supplier.
If you are expectant or plan to get expecting, tell your health care supplier. If vision testing can not be done, your doctor may continue suggesting SABRIL, however will not be able to watch for any type of vision loss. Your healthcare company may quit suggesting SABRIL for you (or your kid)if vision examinations are not done consistently.
